The July 22nd episode of AEW Dynamite saw a huge confrontation that left a popular name with stitches. She is none other than the former TBS Champion, Willow Nightingale. On tonight’s edition of Dynamite, Nightingale was involved in a face-to-face confrontation with Mick Foley at the helm of it.
Things got heated towards the end, and Thekla struck Nightingale with the mic on the side of her head. In a video released by AEW on their official X account, the former TBS Champion can be seen getting stitches on her bruised ear as Mick Foley watched. The Hardcore legend kept talking to her as Nightingale felt the pain, but got through it with the help of Foley.
Furthermore, Nightingale said that now she was similar to Foley. This was a reference to the half-ear he lost in a wrestling match years ago.

Willow Nightingale and Thekla will clash at AEW Redemption 2026
AEW is set to present its newest pay-per-view, Redemption 2026, on July 26 at the Bell Center in Montreal, Canada. At the event, Willow Nightingale, who won the Women’s Casino Gauntlet match weeks ago, will challenge Thekla for the AEW Women’s World Championship.
Moreover, tensions have certainly escalated between them following their confrontation on Dynamite. With Willow Nightingale getting a nasty injury just days before the Redemption PPV, it will be interesting to see if she is able to dethrone Thekla and win her first-ever Women’s World title in the company.
