Wrestling legend Jeff Jarrett has seemingly done it all. There is one major promotion that’s evaded him, though: Consejo Mundial De Lucha Libre (CMLL).

Next weekend, that will change as “The Last Outlaw” officially ticks CMLL off his list when he takes on Blue Panther at the promotion’s 93rd Anniversary show. He broke the news on last night’s edition of CMLL Informa.

“Hola CMLL! That’s right, The Last Outlaw, The King of The Mountain, ‘Double J’ Jeff Jarrett is here, and I am here to make a challenge,” Jarrett said. “That’s right, on the 93rd Anniversary show, the granddaddy of them all, the biggest one of the year, and I’m here to challenge you, the living legend, mano a mano, Blue Panther. Jeff Jarrett vs. Blue Panther.”

CMLL’s 93rd Anniversary show will emanate from Arena Mexico on Friday, September 18. Jarrett got a taste of CMLL when he competed in a dark 10-man tag match ahead of AEW x CMLL Grand Slam Mexico last month. His upcoming match against Blue Panther will serve as his official CMLL debut.

The 59-year-old previously wrestled in Mexico for Lucha Libre AAA World Wide and even claimed the AAA Mega Championship on two occasions.

In addition to Jarrett vs. Panther, CMLL’s 93rd Anniversary event will see CMLL World Heavyweight Champion Hechicero defending his title against Claudio Castagnoli and Zack Sabre Jr. CMLL World Women’s Champion Persephone will put her respective title on the line against Mina Shirakawa, Starlight Kid, and Tessa Blanchard in a four-way.
