WWE and 2K are letting fans choose a WWE 2K27 cover star for the first time, but the ballot box sits inside Club WWE.
The companies announced Thursday that the first-ever WWE 2K27 Superstar Cover Fan Vote opens Friday, September 11, exclusively through the Club WWE platform. The winner will appear on an edition of the game, with the cover set to be revealed in early 2027.
Registered Club WWE members get one vote each, picking from eight options: Bron Breakker, Fatal Influence, Je’Von Evans, Oba Femi, Penta, Sol Ruca, Stephanie Vaquer and Trick Williams.
Fatal Influence is the only group on the ballot. The SmackDown trio features Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid.
None of the last three standard edition cover stars made the list. Cody Rhodes fronted WWE 2K24, Roman Reigns took WWE 2K25 and CM Punk led WWE 2K26.
The Winner May Not Get The Standard Cover
WWE’s announcement only promises the winner a spot on “an edition” of WWE 2K27. Recent games have shipped several versions, with WWE 2K26 releasing Attitude Era, King of Kings and Monday Night War editions alongside the CM Punk standard edition.
2K still hasn’t set a release date. Take-Two has only placed WWE 2K27 in its fiscal 2027 release window, which runs through the end of March 2027.
Who Can Actually Vote
The fine print narrows the field. WWE’s Club WWE FAQ says membership is open only to legal U.S. residents who are at least 18 years old, with one account per person and no sharing or transferring accounts.
That leaves international fans and anyone under 18 out of the vote. WWE said at the Club WWE launch in July that international expansion is planned, but it hasn’t attached a date.
U.S. memberships cost $99 a year, which WWE breaks down to $8.25 a month. The program opened July 31 with John Cena fronting the rollout, and Fightful Select has since reported that Cathy Kelley could take on a bigger Club WWE role.
The vote lands as Take-Two pushes for growth in the series, with CEO Strauss Zelnick saying earlier this year that the WWE 2K franchise could double or triple in size.
