Kevin Nash has a pretty good idea of what would happen if he joined WWE’s creative team. He thinks Triple H would get tired of him fast, and he isn’t interested in doing the job anyway.
Nash spoke about it on the Kliq This podcast. The topic came up while the hosts were discussing reports that Shawn Michaels could replace Bruce Prichard on WWE’s creative team, and Nash immediately started joking about getting involved himself.
Looks like I’m gonna have to get on the team. Get on to Orlando.
He liked the idea more when working from home entered the conversation. Nash said he could do a few hours of Zoom each day, since all he’d be doing is talking wrestling and skipping the financial side.
If it was Zoom, like four, I could do four hours Zoom every day. All I’d be doing is turning off the financials and talking wrestling.
The catch is that he knows you can’t book wrestlers you don’t know. To shape the main roster’s creative, he said he would have to immerse himself in the product, spend time with the talent and get a feel for who they really are. Once the hosts pointed out that it’s the main roster and not just the Performance Center, he admitted Zoom wouldn’t work.
The first thing I would have to do is I would have to completely immerse myself in the product, you know, to know that.
I’d have to be down there. I mean, I’d have to go down. I’d have to sit down, talk to people. You can’t book people that you don’t have a feel for.
The bigger obstacle, he said, would be working with Triple H. The two go back decades, but Nash described himself as someone who likes to laugh and mess around, and he believes that would eventually irritate Paul Levesque.
Yeah, but I mean, f***, and I’m kind of a jackoff. I like to laugh, and I think I would irritate Paul. I think I just like to laugh too much. So I just don’t think they have time for my shenanigans.
Then he gave the main reason he won’t be showing up to creative meetings.
Yeah, I don’t want to work. I’m 67 years old.
