WWE could be heading back to Japan next year. TKO President Mark Shapiro says Nick Khan is in discussions about running a show in Tokyo.
Shapiro made the comment on TKO’s third quarter 2026 financials call, in a section about UFC and WWE traveling abroad and exploring new markets. He started with UFC, saying the company is having good conversations with Abu Dhabi about its deal there.
At the end of his remarks he turned to WWE and said he is “pretty bullish” about conversations Khan is having to bring the company to Tokyo next year.
I’m also pretty bullish about some conversations that Nick Khan is having about bringing WWE to Tokyo next year.
No date, venue or format was mentioned, so it’s a signal of interest and not an announcement. The timing does line up with WWE’s growing presence in the country.
WWE programming in Japan began streaming on Netflix in October, and WWE was last in Japan that same month.
