WWE Star Asked To Leave NXT Venue Due To CM Punk's Title Match

WWE star Kevin Owens was asked to leave the NXT building by Shawn Michaels, who sensed that he was there to interfere in CM Punk’s title match.

CM Punk has a huge title match on tonight’s NXT show, and the top brass made a major decision to ensure no chaos.

In a video posted via his X, WWE top star Kevin Owens was at the Performance Center, where NXT tapings are held weekly. When NXT SVP Shawn Michaels came up to him, he asked him to leave the building, believing that Owens was there on purpose to ruin CM Punk’s NXT title match scheduled for tonight.

The Prize Fighter declined, saying that he had just come to get his shoulder checked, while HBK doubled down that he had come to target Punk, citing their recent tensions. The video came to an abrupt end as Michaels tried to reason with Owens to do the right thing.

CM Punk is set to challenge Grayson Waller for the NXT Championship on tonight’s November 4 episode of the show. The Best in the World appeared at the end of Halloween Havoc 2026 to confront Waller about his weeks-long rant against him and laid out the challenge, which was made official.

At the same time, he has had issues with Kevin Owens for weeks, with their tensions dating back years. Moreover, the duo squared off in a No Holds Barred match, which was taped after the November 2 episode of RAW and will air as part of the November 6 episode of SmackDown.

With Owens lurking around the NXT venue, we will have to wait and see if he does find a way to interfere in Punk’s title match tonight.
