If Mercedes Mone is indeed the ‘CEO’ of All Elite Wrestling, then she should be in tune with the company’s tech department. At the very least, she may give some added insight to the gaming department.
The AEW ‘Superstar’ kept busy in the state of California this week as she not only wrestled on ‘AEW Dynamite,’ but she made her way down to Los Angeles to be an active participate in LA Tech Week. The TBS Women’s Champion actually joined a panel involving gaming creative mastermind Notef of NEIGHBOR, Angela Dalton of Signum Growth Dot Play and Cordell Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s son. Notef specializes in creating content for Fortnite and Mone partook in a panel labeled “The New Superstars In The Future of Media.”
Mone is the cousin of Snoop Dogg so the panel may have been a bit of a family flavor, but her ties to the Fortnite world are very indirect. While her likeness has not been a featured skin on the game, Mone’s colleagues Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, John Cena and even The Rock have been featured on the game. She also have several Mandelorian colleagues apart of the Fortnite world when the Star Wars packs get released from time to time on the platform.
On Wednesday, Mone wrestled like a Fortnite storm was closing in as she took on a game Queen Aminita in singles action. The AEW TBS Championship was on the line as Mone ultimately made Aminata tap out to The Statement Maker.
