Kevin Owens vs. Shane McMahon Set For SmackDown FOX Premiere

One man is taking a break from WWE TV

A new match has been announced for the upcoming WWE SmackDown FOX premiere episode.

It appears that the blowoff to the Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens feud is upon us. During Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live, it was revealed that Owens and McMahon will battle in a Ladder Match at this show with the stipulation of “loser leaves WWE.”

This feud has been going on for several weeks now. The original belief was that this match would take place at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event. With WWE already having two gimmick matches (Hell in a Cell), the stipulation makes sense in storyline.

However, WWE has switched it to this show. Owens had been fired and threatened a lawsuit against McMahon.

Next Friday’s SmackDown FOX premiere episode takes place from the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Here is the updated line-up for the episode, which will also be the SmackDown 20th Anniversary special:

Brock Lesnar vs. WWE Champion Kofi Kingston

RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley and Sasha Banks

Kevin Owens vs. Shane McMahon in a Ladder Match

What are your thoughts on this match being added to the card? Sound off in the comment section.
