Disney’s Moana 2, featuring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, has made waves at the box office since its release on November 27th.
The family-friendly adventure scored an incredible $225 million over the five-day Thanksgiving holiday, including $139.7 million during the three-day weekend. Its global debut tallied an impressive $389 million, with a $165.8 million international opening. The film claimed the top spot in every market except China.

Dwayne Johnson made history by simultaneously topping the box office with Moana 2 and Red One. This marks the first time an actor has had two #1 films in the same month, further solidifying his dominance in Hollywood.
Directed by David Derrick Jr., Jason Hand, and Dana Ledoux Miller, and produced by Christina Chen and Yvett Merino, the animated sequel brings back Auli‘i Cravalho and Johnson as Moana and Maui.
