Seth Rollins Retains Universal Title At WWE Stomping Grounds

Seth Rollins remains on top of the flagship show of WWE, Monday Night RAW, as he’s still the Universal Champion.

Rollins defended the Universal Title against Baron Corbin at the WWE Stomping Grounds event. Lacey Evans turned out to be the special guest referee. The finish of the match saw Evans attack Rollins which led to Becky Lynch making the save and Rollins getting a fair referee to get the pinfall victory.

The first match between Rollins and Corbin took place at the WWE Super Showdown pay-per-view event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia earlier this month. At this show, Rollins beat Corbin in a short match.

Post-match, Corbin hit End of Days. Brock Lesnar walked down to the ring and teased cashing in his Money in the Bank contract but Rollins fended him off.

This is the second match between these two stars. It’s likely that WWE will move onto different programs for each star heading into the Extreme Rules pay-per-view event.

What are your thoughts on Seth Rollins retaining the WWE Universal Title? Was this the right call by WWE officials? Sound off in the comment section.
