Sylvester Stallone Literally Bodyslammed Hulk Hogan In ‘Rocky III’

Hulk Hogan always champions that he slammed Andre The Giant at WrestleMania III, but it was the pure strength of Sylvester Stallone that gave Hogan a taste of his own medicine, brother. On Monday, Stallone shared a video of Hogan detailing how it was actually Rocky himself who picked up Hogan and tossed him out of the ring in Rocky III.

“That was him, that was him… bro, if you don’t realize he was 160 lbs and I was like 320 lbs. He got me up and he was wobbling. It was him. He did everything. He did all his own stunts…”

Hogan mentioned how invested Stallone was into the physicality that Hogan brought. As a caption, Sylvester shared his appreciation for Hogan, noting how great he was to work with back in 1981.

“WOW, HULK was the best. Fantastic athlete and threw the most amazing punches of all. Because he was bare fisted I could actually feel his punch touching my skin yet he knew just when to pull back… Amazing!”

Stallone has strong ties to pro wrestling. Not only did he work with Thunderlips, but he also starred in Paradise Alley with the late legendary Terry Funk. There’s also a great picture floating around of Sly standing with Harley Race.
