WWE Releases Two NXT Wrestlers

WWE has come to terms on the release of NXT performers Brian Reid (a/k/a Tony Briggs) and C Denzel Freeman. Both individuals announced Friday on Twitter that they were parting ways with the sports-entertainment organization.

Freeman, an amateur wrestler from the University of the Cumberlands, began training at the WWE Performance Center late last year. He never competed in a match before a live crowd. He stated:

Briggs, a 6-foot-2, 275-pound wrestler from California, signed with WWE in late 2013. He infrequently wrestled at NXT live events, and was squashed the two times he competed on television.
