Alberto Del Rio Suffers Defeat To Tito Ortiz In MMA Fight

Alberto Del Rio tapped out

The fight came and went with Tito Ortiz getting his hand raised after beating Alberto Del Rio. 

The former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion beat the former WWE Champion in a 210 catchweight bout by first-round rear-naked choke submission. 

The fight aired via pay-per-view with the price of $29.99 on FITE TV at the Payne Arena in Hidalgo, Texas under the Combate Americas banner.

Outside of his accomplishments in the pro wrestling business, Del Rio has a background as a pro-MMA fighter with his previous fight taking place at a Cage of Combat show in Madrid, Spain in 2010 where he lost to Yamamoto Hanshi by second-round TKO. The former WWE Champion now holds a pro-MMA record of 9-6.
