Cody Rhodes Beats Gunther, Becomes First-Ever WWE Crown Jewel Champion

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will etch his name in the history books after becoming the very first WWE Crown Jewel Champion.

Rhodes defeated World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER at WWE Crown Jewel 2024 to win the title that was introduced last month at WWE Bad Blood by Paul Levesque. Along with the title, Rhodes received a championship ring that Levesque revealed during the Crown Jewel kick-off event on November 1.

The finish of the match saw Rhodes attempt a Super Cody Cutter, only for GUNTHER to catch him in attempted Sleeper hold. Rhodes however, was able to counter with a roll-up to get the historic win.
