Fans should no longer expect to see Hulk Hogan at WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event this weekend from San Antonio, Texas.
Hogan was originally slated to appear at Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 25th, though his role at the event remained unclear. The appearance had raised eyebrows given Jesse Ventura, who is also scheduled to be at the show, has a well-documented history with Hogan. Their tension dates back to when Hogan reportedly tipped off Vince McMahon about Ventura’s plans to unionize wrestlers.
However, Hogan will not be appearing as planned. Chris Featherstone first reported the cancellation, with Dave Meltzer later confirming the news. According to Featherstone, Hogan’s absence is due to a family-related issue and is unrelated to the reception he received during his Raw on Netflix appearance.
Hogan’s recent appearance on Raw on Netflix went viral after fans heavily booed him during the segment, a moment that garnered significant attention from various media outlets. Hogan was on Raw to promote the show and hype WWE’s partnership with his Real American Beer, one of the company’s new sponsors. Following the appearance, there was speculation that Hogan might not appear on television as frequently moving forward.
