NXT newcomers Kishan Raftaar (Lovepreet Sangha) and Jeet Rama (Satinder Ved Pal) made their WWE debuts at Friday’s live event from New Delhi, India at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium. Kishan Raftaar defeated Jason Jordan while Jeet Rama defeated Chad Gable. WWE announced the signing of both Indian superstars back in June 2015.
Kishan Raftaar joins WWE from the world of Kabaddi, a sport with origins in ancient India. He was one of the top raiders in the World Kabaddi League in 2014 and was a part of the team that won the league championship.
Jeet Rama is a standout in the world of Indian wrestling. He is a two-time national heavyweight champion in Kushti, the traditional form of Indian grappling.
