Shayna Baszler Retains Women’s Title At WWE NXT TakeOver: XXV

Shayna Baszler will remain at the top of the WWE NXT women’s division as NXT Women’s Champion.

Baszler beat Io Shirai in her latest title defense as NXT Women’s Champion at Saturday’s (June 1, 2019) WWE NXT TakeOver: XXV event in Bridgeport, CT at the Webster Bank Arena on the WWE Network.

It will be interesting to see where WWE goes from here as they put on one heck of a match that delivered.

This was a key match in the women’s division as Baszler has been a top champion since winning the title back at the Evolution pay-per-view event in Long Island, New York at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in October.

The next pay-per-view event for the yellow brand that is titled, NXT TakeOver: Toronto, goes down on August 10, 2019 during SummerSlam weekend at the Scotiabank Arena.

What are your thoughts on Shayna Baszler retaining the NXT Women’s Title? Was this the right call by WWE officials? Who do you want to see feud for the title in the division? Sound off in the comment section.
