The Shield’s Final Match To Air On WWE Network This Sunday

WWE announced that Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins would team up for the final time as members of The Shield.

On Monday afternoon, the company announced through their official website that a special called “The Shield’s Last Chapter” will air live on the WWE Network this Sunday from a live event at the Tax Slayer Center in Moline, Illinois.

The fan-favorite group is being advertised for a six-man tag team match but their opponents have yet to be revealed. Also on tap for this special is WWE Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor with the title on the line.

The group was last seen in action together when they beat Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin, and Bobby Lashley in a six-man tag team match at the Fastlane pay-per-view event. This contest served as the headliner of this show that took place from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.

At the time, WWE hyped this match as the final match for the group leading up to it. The reason for that is due to WWE confirming that Ambrose would be departing from the WWE at the end of April as he has decided to not sign a new contract with the company.
