WWE SmackDown Preview: Daniel Bryan Segment, Championship Rematch

SmackDown is here.

A new episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown is here and it’s shaping up to be an interesting show.

With just hours until bell time, it’s time to look ahead starting with tonight’s episode of SmackDown. Several matches and a segment have been announced thus far for this show including a non-title match between SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley and Nikki Cross.

This contest will have Survivor Series implications on the line as Cross will earn the final spot on the women’s Team SmackDown if she can defeat Bayley. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on who will get the fifth and final spot if she loses.

First-Ever Women’s Match Among Bouts Locally Advertised For WWE TLC

WWE holds this show from Philadelphia, PA at the Wells Fargo Center. WWE is advertising the following items for tonight’s broadcast:

  • SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley and Nikki Cross with Survivor Series implications
  • What will Daniel Bryan have to say about Sami Zayn’s proposition — and “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt’s attack?
  • The New Day vs. The Revival for SmackDown Tag Team Championship rematch
  • Mustafa Ali & Shorty G vs. Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode. If Ziggler & Roode win, they’ll take Ali & Shorty G’s spots in the men’s triple threat elimination tag match.

WWE will also be announcing matches for existing feuds that will take place heading into the Survivor Series pay-per-view event.

As usual, fans should expect more matches and segments to be revealed this afternoon for SmackDown.
