Danielson had vowed that his full-time career in the ring would end when he lost the AEW World Championship. On Twitter, many names associated with AEW shared their appreciation for the American Dragon.
The best wrestler to ever step into a professional wrestling ring. Thank you “American Dragon”Bryan Danielson. It was an honor to share the ring with you. pic.twitter.com/B8w7R7m540

Bryan requesting this match from Tony because he saw something in me was the boost of confidence I sorely needed at the time. Thank you for believing in me Dragon, thank you for everything ??#AEWWrestleDream@AEWpic.twitter.com/yLV8ireCsW
AEW’s own Twitter account shared a statement, making clear that they would not be sharing footage of the post-match attack on Danielson. This is the same statement the company gave following the attack by Moxley and his crew on Danielson at AEW All Out.
Due to its graphic nature, AEW will not be posting the post-match attack on Bryan Danielson.
The future of Bryan Danielson remains uncertain, though the former champion believes neck surgery is in his near future. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on the American Dragon in this post-full-time chapter of his wrestling career.
MJF made a surprise appearance at tonight’s WrestleDream PPV from Tacoma Dome but he is not gonna be sticking around.
The PPV saw Jack Perry beat Katsuyori Shibata to retain his TNT Championship. Daniel Garcia came out to help Shibata when Perry continued his assault after the match.
MJF’s music hit after this and he entered the ring to confront Garcia. The distraction allowed Perry to clock Garcia from behind. The former AEW champion then unleashed an assault on the young star.
The Salt of The Earth revealed that he had found his missing Dynamite Diamond Ring. He looked to attack Garcia with it but Adam Cole’s music hit and the Undisputed Kingdom leader made his return.
Cole was ready to get some retribution from his former tag team partner but MJF quickly retreated. The segment ended with Cole helping Daniel Garcia get up.
According to Fightful Select, the former AEW Champion told people backstage at WrestleDream that he won’t be sticking around AEW programming. He has to return to filming Happy Gilmore 2 after this show.
Happy Gilmore was a 1996 sports comedy movie featuring Adam Sandler in the title role. The Netflix sequel sees Sandler reprising his role and MJF is said to have a significant part in the movie.
This isn’t the only movie in the pipeline for the AEW star. We reported exclusive details of his next project, the action-comedy movie Stranglehold, directed by Clark Duke.
A feud between MJF and Adam Cole is long due since the latter turned on his friend and revealed himself as ‘The Devil’ at the Worlds end PPV last year in December.
With multiple movie projects in the works, however, it’s hard to say when the 28-year-old will be allowed to compete again.
At All Out 2024, the Costco Guys, appeared for AEW after teasing involvement with the show in the days prior. Earlier this month, AJ, the elder of the father-son duo, said he had signed a one-match deal with AEW, and fans may get to see him in action at the promoton’s next pay-per-view.
News of AJ’s signing was met with QT Marshall issuing a challenge to the TikTok sensation for a match in an AEW ring. After attacking QT at Coastal Championship Wrestling’s Bash 45 event, AJ accepted the challenge but wants to face Marshall at AEW Full Gear on November 23.
BIG BOOM AJ arrived at BASH 45 last week in Miami and answered the challenge of QT Marshall! ?
A.J wrestled professionally for years as ‘The American Powerhouse’ Eric Justice, and named his son after his wrestling persona. He retired from the ring in 2005 and until his TikTok popularity exploded, had been working full-time as a regional manager for a nationwide mortgage-lending company.
A.J. Befumo and his 11-year-old son, Eric, aka Big Justice, have become viral sensations in 2024 with their TikTok food reviews of products from Costco. In recent months, the pair has garnered over 1.3 million followers on TikTok, and the videos have tens of millions of views.

In a recent interview with HOT 97, Cargill reflected on her early days in AEW, recalling how she was thrust into the spotlight without much guidance.
“I didn’t really have direction. I didn’t know how a heel was supposed to act. I was just myself.”
In response to media reports rehashing her early experiences, Cargill expressed her frustration on Twitter and urged everyone to focus on her current journey with WWE.
This is old. You’ve all heard it before. Can we please turn the page. I’m focused on another goal. Thanks guys. NEXT. ?? https://t.co/yGyWurw0oE
This isn’t the first time Cargill has made clear she wishes to move on from her AEW tenure. At the Bash In Berlin post-show press conference, Cargill said she was “so tired” of answering questions about AEW and once again wished that fans focused on her current role as a WWE Superstar.
While Cargill is proud to have come from AEW, her focus is firmly on the road ahead. As she continues to evolve, fans are eager to see what’s next for the powerhouse superstar as she takes on new challenges inside a WWE ring.
The Rock has responded to talks about his WWE future.
The Great One made a surprise appearance at the Bad Blood PPV on October 5. He came out after Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns defeated The Bloodline to warn them of impending consequences.
Many believed that this segment was an indication for the direction of WrestleMania 41. Dave Meltzer reported, however, that The People’s Champion was too busy to be at the Show of Shows next year.
When a fan asked him about these reports on Instagram, The Rock actually responded and told everyone not to believe ‘any of that bullshit’:
The Rock calls bullshit on the Meltzer report that he told #WWE he won’t be at WrestleMania 41 pic.twitter.com/wfyhe3RkeZ
The Hollywood star did not appear on SmackDown this week after his Bad Blood return but The Bloodline story continued with Roman Reigns.
The returning Jimmy Uso went up against Solo Sikoa in the main event of the show. Uso couldn’t overcome the numbers game. Even Roman couldn’t help him when the Head of The Table showed up to save him from a post-match beatdown.
Jimmy had suggested getting help in their feud against The Bloodline but Reigns had originally shot down the idea of asking the Intercontinental Champion Jey Uso to back them up.
It’s believed that the former Undisputed WWE champion will be leading a team against Solo Sikoa and his cousins at the upcoming Survivor Series PPV on November 30.
The events of SmackDown might be a step towards changing Reigns’ mind. It’s likely that we will see him reaching out to some old allies in coming times to join their war.

Let’s dive into some of the most intriguing rumors and speculations surrounding this highly anticipated show.
Potential Betrayals
One of the most talked-about matches on the card is the AEW World Championship bout between Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley. While these two have a history as allies in the Blackpool Combat Club, Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, PAC and Marina Shafir are the new top faction in town. There’s speculation that this match could see a shocking betrayal, potentially with Wheeler Yuta also turning on Danielson and aligning with the new group.
Anticipated Debuts
AEW has a history of surprising fans with unexpected debuts, and WrestleDream 2024 could be no exception.
Bobby Lashley’s Potential Appearance
There’s buzz about the possibility of former WWE star Bobby Lashley making his AEW debut at WrestleDream. Some predictions suggest he could interfere in a high-profile match, possibly attacking a top star and immediately establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with in AEW. He could also appear during the Swerve Strickland segment during the show.
With several championship matches on the card, fans are speculating about potential title changes that could shake up the AEW landscape.
The odds of Moxley winning against Danielson changed dramatically in the final hours ahead of the show, and it is believed that he could now be walking out as the Champion, ending the full-time in-ring career of the American Dragon.
Bryan Danielson says he feels healthy enough to face Jon Moxley at Saturday’s AEW WrestleDream PPV. However, the reigning AEW World Champion admits that he’s on borrowed time, with concerns about his long-term health persisting.
The American Dragon is preparing for what could be the fight of his life. Speaking with Justin Barrasso, Danielson expressed confidence in his readiness for the match, but acknowledged the seriousness of his health issues.
“Our trainer is concerned to some extent, and so am I,” Danielson said. “My wife is very worried. But there have been times in my career where I’ve been more concerned than I am now.”

Danielson highlighted the balance between his current abilities and his long-term health.
“The biggest issue is my overall health in the long run. Right now, everything is fixable. In the short term, it’s about whether I can perform at the level I expect from myself—and I know I can. I’m exactly where I want to be, fighting someone I want to fight. So, the answer is yes.”
Kenny Omega could be back in action before the end of the year, but injuries are starting to catch up with the former AEW World Champion.
His longtime friend and tag team partner, Kota Ibushi, recently provided an update on Omega’s in-ring future.
During a conversation with wrestling legend Yuji Nagata, Ibushi shared that Omega is expected to be healthy enough to return in 2-3 months. However, his recovery has been very difficult, and he continues to deal with significant pain and lingering issues.
Ibushi also revealed that they plan to reunite as the Golden Lovers very soon. He has mentioned in various interviews that he remains committed to AEW and is eagerly awaiting another run alongside the Best Bout Machine.
Omega has spoken openly about the increasing difficulty of recovering from injuries and has publicly questioned how many more times he’ll have the drive to return after long layoffs. While his days as a full-time performer may be winding down, fans hope to see him compete at a high level—at least on a part-time basis—for a few more years.
Health Update and Future Outlook
Kenny Omega has been out of action for approximately five months. Back in May, he addressed his health status on AEW Dynamite, and then later during a live stream on Twitch.
Omega is preparing for an upcoming major surgery with a top specialist, which has given him confidence despite the seriousness of the procedure. He has acknowledged that this will require him to take additional time off, including a break from streaming.
The former AEW Champion has been battling multiple health issues, including diverticulitis, a hernia, and other injuries that date back to his early AEW days and his appearances for Triple A. Initially, Omega misattributed some of the pain to a hernia, but later discovered it was diverticulitis, a condition he has been dealing with for over four years.
At times, Omega admits he considered retirement due to the severity of his injuries. However, he is now optimistic about returning to the ring, potentially at the same level as his early AEW performances. He views this recovery period as an opportunity for a “repackaging,” aiming to come back better, even if his prime years are behind him. He hopes to bring a fresh approach to his character and in-ring style moving forward.
As AEW’s WrestleDream pay-per-view event approaches tonight, rumors are swirling about the potential debut of former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. Fans are speculating that the powerhouse athlete could make his first appearance in All Elite Wrestling at this highly anticipated event.

The Speculation Surrounding Bobby Lashley’s AEW Debut
Betting Odds and Fan Expectations
Betting odds for WrestleDream suggest that Bobby Lashley is expected to make his AEW debut. This speculation has gained traction among fans, who are eagerly anticipating the possibility of seeing “The All Mighty” in an AEW ring for the first time.
The Hurt Business Connection
Adding fuel to the fire of these rumors is the recent debut of Lashley’s former Hurt Business teammates, MVP and Shelton Benjamin, in AEW. This has led many to believe that a reunion of sorts could be in the works, potentially under a new name such as “The Hurt Syndicate.”
Potential Scenarios for Lashley’s Debut
The Swerve Strickland Segment
One popular theory among fans is that Bobby Lashley could make his entrance during a segment involving Swerve Strickland. AEW typically reserves non-wrestling segments on pay-per-views for significant moments, and Lashley’s debut would certainly fit that criteria.
A possible scenario could unfold as follows:
MVP and Shelton Benjamin confront Swerve Strickland’s manager, Prince Nana.
Swerve’s music hits, and he’s offered a spot in MVP’s new group.
After Swerve rejects the offer, Lashley appears to assist MVP and Benjamin in attacking Strickland.
The Undertaker has revealed how Triple H has completely changed the backstage environment in WWE.
The Dead Man recently appeared on Booker T’s Hall of Fame podcast. The two wrestling veterans talked about things such as their own time coming up in the business, how young generation needs to focus more on storytelling and more.
When Booker asked Taker about his experience at recent WWE shows, The Last Outlaw explained that things have taken a 180-degree turn since the new management took over and Triple H became head of creative:
“It’s crazy to me how calm everything is backstage now. You know, Paul’s demeanor is so chill. Every time I see him, he’s got time to sit down and explain something to you. It’s just not that Helter Skelter fire drill [anymore]—which I thrived in. You had to be able to [do that].
I just remember working on a promo all day long, and then 10 minutes before you go out, it’s completely changed. You had to come up [with something] and you gotta go do it. You gotta do it live. It’s so [calm], it’s almost too calm for me.”
While The Undertaker himself thinks that he wouldn’t have survived in an environment like this, he acknowledged that it’s a blessing for all the young athletes coming up:
“I know it’s gotta be better for the athletes and performers to get there and ‘Okay this is what we’re gonna do’ and that’s pretty much what’s gonna happen. That Helter Skelter fire drill thing that happened every Monday Night. You just expected it.
But it’s gotta be especially for so much young talent that there is, it’s gotta help them develop a little quicker. Because they don’t have that ‘staring down the barrel of a gun’ kind of mentality. Paul is so nurturing I think to the talent that it’s gonna really help a lot of people.”
The Undertaker’s most recent WWE appearance came during the WrestleMania 40 weekend. He first inducted Muhammad Ali into Hall of Fame and then helped Cody Rhodes finally beat Roman Reigns in the main event of the show.
Jimmy Jacobs has resigned from the AEW writing team.
The former WWE writer had worked closely with President Tony Khan since joining the Elite promotion back in June 2023.
Fightful Select is now reporting that the 40-year-old submitted his resignation over the past week and he has already finished up with the company.
Jacobs had been feeling burned out of late and the two sides remain on amicable terms despite his decision. The AEW officials are looking at this as an opportunity to freshen up the writers room.
A former ROH star, Jimmy Jacobs ventured into writing when he joined the WWE creative team in March 2017. Chris Jericho has credited Jacobs for helping ‘The List’ get over during his 2016 run with the company.
Jimmy was fired from the promotion in October 2017. This came after Jacobs posted a photo with Bullet Club on Instagram during their ‘invasion’ of Raw. After his WWE departure, Jacobs returned to the independent circuit as a wrestler.
He made his TNA debut in November 2017. It was later revealed that the wrestling veteran was also working as a producer for the company.
Jimmy Jacobs would be included in the creative team of TNA later on as well. He remained in the position until June 2023, when he moved from Impact to AEW.
There is no word on what the former ROH tag champion is planning for his future. Though he has wrestled a few indie matches in the last few months. It’d not be a surprise if we see him making a full-time in-ring return in coming times.
