VIDEO – Velvet Sky Makes A “Surprise Arrival” At Genesis

16

The official YouTube account of Impact Wrestling has published a video of a surprised SoCal Val running in to Velvet Sky today outside the Impact Wrestling Zone in Orlando, Florida. Sky, who is not scheduled to compete at tonight’s Genesis pay-per-view event, says she is on a mission to find Sting.

“I need to find Sting. I am so determined to talk to Sting—I am sick and tired of what’s been going on in this Knockouts division,” she tells Val regarding her unexpected appearance.

“Someone needs to take a stand and if no one else is going to step up to the plate, it’s going to be me.”

She continues to Val, “If you want to know what it is that I have to talk to Sting about so desperately, watch the pay-per-view later—you’ll find out on the pay-per-view.”

Hardy Comments On Past Mistakes, Says He’s Improving Himself

17

Matt Hardy published a statement on Facebook acknowledging his past mistakes, which in 2011 included two arrests for driving while intoxicated, one arrest for drug possession and one arrest for violating a court order.

The former WWE Superstar wrote, “I have made more than my share of mistakes in life, but those mistakes have also made me into the person I am today. I can’t change my past, so I won’t ever deny it or attempt to hide it either.

“When someone compliments me, I greatly appreciate it. When someone insults me, it doesn’t bother me because I know exactly how good I am and am confident in what I have to offer to others in my life now. No one’s perfect-not me, not you, not anyone. We can all only try and be the best human being we can be.

“I understand my human defects and work on improving them every day. I’ve NEVER been so full of life and had so much excitement for every new day of life. I’ve been given so much in life, it’s time for me to give back.

“Whether you love me or despise me, God bless you all.”

Morrison Comments On WWE Departure, Most Followed Wrestlers

38

— John Morrison answered numerous fan questions for the fansite Starship-Pained.com including a query regarding life after WWE.

“I feel like I got off an express train walked to my car, and sped away. I’m still busy as all hell, but now, I’m the one driving,” he said.

He was also asked, “What do you think will help you get to the next level when you return to WWE?”

Morrison said, “JoMo needs to cut promos.”

— Popthecrowd.com has compiled a list of the top 25 most followed professional wrestling personalities on Twitter. The Rock heads the list with over 1.8 million followers. He is trailed by John Cena, Randy Orton, CM Punk, Steve Austin, Chris Jericho, The Miz, Shawn Michaels, Zack Ryder and Kelly Kelly.

— Greg “The Hammer” Valentine is scheduled to appear at WrestleReunion in Los Angeles, California later this month and he will be dying his hair jet black for the occasion. The WWE Hall of Famer will appear alongside The Honky Tonk Man and Jimmy Hart for a special “Rhythm and Blues” photo op.

Antonio Cesaro Debuts At Live Events, Jericho Gets Physical

17

– FCW star Antonio Cesaro (formerly Claudio Castagnoli in ROH) wrestled his first WWE match at Friday night’s RAW live event from Jackson, Mississippi. Cesaro teamed with Michael McGillicutty and lost a squash to Mason Ryan and Alex Riley. The same match happened at Saturday’s live event in Tyler, Texas.

Cesaro is likely being evaluated to be called up to the main roster, similar to Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins working live WWE events last month.

– Chris Jericho appeared at Saturday night’s WWE RAW live event in Tyler, Texas. He came to the ring but was quickly interrupted by David Otunga before he could even say a word on the microphone.

Otunga demanded that Jericho take off his jacket because it was causing seizures. Otunga got into Jericho’s face and the segment ended with Jericho putting Otunga in the Walls of Jericho before making his exit.

JR Blog: Warrior-Nash, Sheik-Legends House, Jericho-RAW

8

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has updated his blog, which you can read in its entirety over at JRsBarBQ.com. Here are some highlights of what JR wrote about:

Chris Jericho On RAW: “What do I expect from Chris Jericho live on Raw this Monday night? I have no way of knowing but w/o saying a word he made an impact and created ample discussion last week in Memphis. What if Jericho decided to disrespect the live audience and the TV viewers again by NOT addressing them again this week? Would there be outrage, disgust or smiles?”

His Goatee: “Is my mostly gray goatee permanent? TBD. We’re still getting to know each other. It’s an experiment as a result of a lazy guy not shaving during the holidays. I’m not becoming a TV villain as best that I know and if I was I could do so w/o facial hair.”

Legends House: “Would I like to see the Iron Sheik in the WWE Legends House? That would be a hoot. Lots of beeps and perhaps a need for closed captioning. As best that I know, the cast has NOT been finalized for this WWE Network reality show.”

Ultimate Warrior vs. Kevin Nash: “What’s my take on @RealKevinNash and Warrior’s verbal issues? Not sure what prompted it but they will likely NEVER have an official, physical confrontation. It did provide some entertaining exchanges during a slow news week.”

Jack Swagger Talks About Wanting The US Title

44

Jack Swagger spoke with Caller.com this week to promote Monday’s RAW from Corpus Christi, Texas. Here are some highlights of what Swagger said about:

2012 Being “The Year Of Swag”: “You’re definitely going to see an evolution of the All-American American. I’m not going to be satisfied until Jack Swagger is back at the top of the mountain.”

Wanting The United States Title: “The All-American American was born to be the United States Champion. (Ryder’s) really molded himself into championship material to cool off his momentum is going to be kind of tough. I’m going to get in there and throw my weight around a little bit and show him how to wrestle.”

Honky Tonk Man Not On WWE Show, AJ Denies Doing Interview

3

— The Honky Tonk Man has denied “Rowdy” Roddy Piper’s statement that he will be appearing on WWE Network’s upcoming Legends’ House reality series.

He tweeted Friday, “Regarding Rowdy Roddy Piper saying on Twitter I’m going into the WWE legends house with him. I have NOT talked to anyone from WWE about anything other than my ownership of The Patriot trademark. Where this came from is anyone’s guess. You fans know HTM does not BS on things. We do not know who is spreading the rumors. If the Piper camp is involved, all we can say is there is no truth to the statement. Believe HTM or someone else.”

— A.J. denies taking part in an interview with Brady Hicks, a writer for Pro Wrestling Illustrated—which was recapped here earlier.

She tweeted, “Was just told there is some interview by someone named Brady Hicks out there. I have never done an interview with this person. I have never done any interviews outside of WWE. Whoever would create a fake interview needs a life. Please impersonate someone more important than me.”

She continued, “THIS IS NOT ME. I never did this interview or any interview outside WWE ever. Please spread the word.”

CM Punk-UFC Update, Axxess Tickets, Latest “Bring It Back”

22

– Many MMA fans are reacting very negatively towards the news of WWE champion CM Punk escorting UFC fighter Chael Sonnen to the Octagon later this month for his fight at UFC on FOX.

As previously reported, Punk accompanying Sonnen to the cage was a deal struck between Punk and Sonnen, not WWE and UFC

– The WWE website’s latest “Bring It Back” campaign is for Women’s Tag Team Titles.

– Tickets for this year’s WrestleMania 28 Axxess event go on sale January 28th via Ticketmaster. Axxess takes place from March 29th until April 1st at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami, Florida.

Rock’s Next Movie, Batista DVD Review, Early UFC 141 Buyrate

29

— WWE star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who is currently filming the movie “Snitch” in New Orleans, is negotiating to star in the upcoming film “Empire State.”

Deadline.com reports that The Rock would join Liam Hemsworth in the movie based on a real event in 1982 where $11 million was stolen from an armored car in New York. Production is scheduled to begin in April, immediately after The Rock’s match with John Cena at WrestleMania 28.

– Early buyrate numbers are in for last Friday’s UFC 141 pay-per-view featuring Brock Lesnar’s loss to Alistair Overeem – and once again, Brock has shown to be a blockbuster pay-per-view draw.

Early estimates for the show that featured what turned out to be Lesnar’s final MMA fight drew between 750,000 and 810,000 North American PPV buys, which is even higher than original expectations.

Lesnar is one of only 3 people to ever draw over 1 million pay-per-view buys twice in a year. The other two are Manny Pacquiao and Mike Tyson.

– FOX affiliate KDVR based out of Denver has a review up of The Sorpion King 3, the straight-to-DVD movie co-starring former WWE star Batista and MMA fighter Kimbo Slice. The review mentioned some positives and negatives, but the closing summary stated:

“The Scorpion King 3 may not feel like it belongs in the world of the original films, but it is a very fun, light hearted romp. Definitely worth a rental.”

Goldberg Wants to Wrestle Brock Lesnar At WrestleMania

65
Brock Lesnar vs. Bill Goldberg At WrestleMania 20

Jim Ross was asked on Twitter about the possibility of a match pitting Brock Lesnar against Bill Goldberg at next year’s WrestleMania. Ross responded:

“@Goldberg vs Lesnar at WM29 would be miraculous ie HIGHLY UNLIKELY.”

Goldberg, despite his well-documented negative feelings about WWE and specifically company head Vince McMahon over the years, says he’s interested in the bout. He wrote Friday,

“……I’d do it.”

Goldberg last competed for WWE at WrestleMania XX in a match against Lesnar with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin serving as special guest referee. The match garnered a hostile reaction from the audience due to knowledge that both competitors were leaving the promotion. After Goldberg defeated Lesnar, both wrestlers were laid out with Stone Cold Stunners.

Meanwhile, Goldberg still apparently views Chris Jericho in a negative light nine years after the two last worked together. A fan wrote to the former wrestling champion Monday, “Y2J sucks u should have came out there & speared him.” Big Bill responded:

“Would have been my pleasure.”

MAILBAG: What Is With All The Internet Hate For Randy Orton?

55

SEScoops Mailbag for January 6th

(please submit YOUR questions to [email protected])

Q: Why is it that so many people dislike Randy Orton? He is regarded as one of the best (if not THE best) in-ring performers in WWE. Yet, despite this praise, he continues to be vilified by the internet wrestling community and is regarded as being on the same level as John Cena. What’s with the hate? Is it because he’s had too many championship reigns? Is it because he transitioned from a heel to a face? Or is it a different reason altogether? Please explain. – Gary

A: Let’s not get carried away now. I don’t believe the hate for Orton is quite as intense as it is for Cena. Some people feel Orton is dull and monotone in the delivery of his promos, some people resent him for being pushed to nine World titles and hogging the spotlight, and some people are bored by his matches. I happen to think his matches have been among the best on WWE television the last few months. I also think he did a great job of helping to put over Mark Henry with two straight, clean wins on PPV to help get the big guy over as a monster champion. Believe me, if he didn’t want to do that, he could have pitched a fit. Orton also took the losing fall at Survivor Series to further his feud with Wade Barrett, another guy WWE has been trying to bring back to life of late. The idiots celebrating his recent injury need to get a life.

Q: Since Kane came back, it looks like a different character. Do you think it still is the same Kane or [someone else]? – Devin

A: Aside from the hair, he looks exactly the same. Reason being it is the real Kane. For the record, it has always been the same person playing the character. Same goes for the Ultimate Warrior who, if rumors are to be believed, first died in a car crash 20 years ago. He looks good for a dead guy.

Q: This may sound stupid, but having been a life long fan of Triple H, I have to ask this. Do you think we will see HHH holding any championships again? Also, with talk of HHH vs. Taker 3 with his career on the line, do you think he will actually retire? – Ravi

A: I honestly believe we have not seen the last WWE or World Heavyweight Title run for Triple H. Even if it is just a token title win at some point for a few days or weeks, he will hold gold again. As for a potential retirement match in Miami next year, that is the word going around. He may be finished as a full-time performer, but the Game will wrestle again, mark my words. As soon as WWE experiences the next rash of injuries to a bunch of main eventers, he will be back in action.

Q: Besides Undertaker, Rock and HBK, has there been anybody else who spent their entire career with WWF/WWE without jumping ship to/from WCW/TNA? Also, after the Undertaker, who are the next longest tenured wrestlers with WWE? – Jay H.

A: Aside from Undertaker and Triple H, who both spent time in WCW prior to their WWF arrival, the longest tenured active star to have spent his entire career with the company would likely be Mark Henry, who made his debut in 1996. The next longest tenured wrestlers would be Kane and Big Show.

Q: Between the Nexus and the CM Punk leaving WWE with the title storylines, which one do you think the WWE dropped the biggest ball on? I think the Nexus storyline was one of the best ones WWE pulled off in the last 10 years. Great name, look, theme song, and so on. Did they end the Nexus thing too soon? Or was it time for it to go? I could have seen the original Nexus still going strong as a unit way past its breakup. As far as the Punk storyline goes, not much too say there. Clearly everything was ruined by putting Punk back on air so soon. Or was it? – Jeremy County

A: The Nexus was killed dead once they lost to Team Cena at Summerslam. Even back during the 2001 Invasion angle, they at least were smart enough to give Team WCW/ECW a win over the WWF guys at the Invasion PPV before going on to screw things up. They couldn’t even do that with Nexus to at least make them look strong and keep things interesting. As for the Punk angle, keep him off television for one week before bringing him back was clearly a mistake. Having Kevin Nash punk him out every week without getting any retribution and then losing to Triple H on PPV didn’t help his cause either. But in the end, it doesn’t matter because he’s a main event player now and in a much better position than he was six months ago.

Q: My question concerns Triple H. Why did his COO character suffer a premature death? Everybody in the world of wrestling thought it would last for a year or so. Why did WWE pull the plug on it so quick? – Trust S.

A: Perhaps we each live in different “worlds of wrestling” because I, like most people, figured it would die out quickly, which is exactly what happened. Why? Because WWE is like a small child who suffers from attention deficit disorder. They just cannot help themselves. Patience is not a virtue of theirs. In fairness, Hulk Hogan works for TNA and has made similar comments about how the world is different now and you can’t have storylines and angles that progress over the course of several months because people’s attentions spans are much shorter. I do find it funny how WWE tends to botch storylines by ending them too quickly, yet they dragged out the Anonymous GM angle for a year without giving us any payoff, and they’ve committed to this Michael Cole character for over a year now, which has actually done significant damage to their product.

Q: Was it intentionally planned for [Shawn Michaels] to retire at WrestleMania 26? – Tyler D.

A: No, he simply forgot to come back. I’m sure if you Tweet him about it, he’d appreciate the reminder.

Keep those questions coming to [email protected] and remember to include your name!

Ultimate Warrior To Post Video Response To Kevin Nash

9
Warrior To Respond To Kevin Nash

The ongoing saga between Kevin Nash and the Ultimate Warrior continues.

To recap .. Earlier this week, Warrior responded to a tweet from one of his fans asking why he doesn’t dye his hair like Nash and come back for one more run. Warrior said that he’s “not a dickhead who thrives on stealing the limelight from young guys.”

Nash fired back with a scathing rant on Twitter, calling Warrior a clown and a “c–t” and challenging him to an MMA-rules shoot fight with $100,000 on the line.  After a day or so went by with nothing back from Warrior, Nash tweeted:

“I knew i would get no response because i know Jim Helwig, in the future when my name comes up pass Jim, puss”

Warrior’s camp has responded to Kevin Nash’s challenge, tweeting the following Friday morning:

“Mr Warrior has filmed a video response to Kevin Nash. Stay tuned. #TeamWarrior”

Oh boy ..  We’ll have Warrior’s video message on the site as soon as it gets posted online.

In case you forgot what happened the last time Warrior unleashed a video response to a fellow colleague talking trash about him,  check out Warrior’s video rant on Hulk Hogan from last year:

Kurt Angle Says WWE Has No Respect, Comments On McMahon

53

The New York Post has published an interview with TNA Wrestling star Kurt Angle discussing his Olympic aspirations. The interview includes discussion of his professional wrestling career, and he explains how he made the transition between the professional and amateur ranks.

“It was a complete career adaptation. It wasn’t a step above, going from amateur wrestling to pro wrestling, it was going from real wrestling to sports entertainment,” Angle said. “A lot of people put me up there as far as saying he’s one of the best ever. And I’ve only been wrestling for 11 and a half years. I think that Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker, guys who have put 30 years into it deserve it. Me getting that praise after only 11 years—it’s not fair.”

Though Kurt Angle has not competed inside a WWE ring in over five years, his impact is still seen today. The Olympic Gold Medalist, however, does not appreciate his moves and style being replicated.

“When Jack Swagger copies my ankle lock and Randy Orton does my Angle Slam, it’s disrespectful,” Angle said. “I didn’t come up with the Ankle Lock, Ken Shamrock came up with the Ankle Lock but I waited until he retired to do the Ankle Lock. That company has no respect for me.”

Despite his displeasure with WWE grapplers using his moves, Angle is grateful that he has been able to parlay Vince McMahon’s vision for him into a successful career in both WWE and TNA Wrerstling.

“I love Vince McMahon. He came up with the Kurt Angle character,” Angle said. “He ran with it and then I was able to run with it. I thank him for the opportunity he gave me. Vince McMahon was one of my best friends, period. Now I’m loyal to Dixie Carter.”

Helms On Frustration With WWE, Dropping Hurricane Character

15

Stand back! The super superstar who had us all asking “Whatupwidat?!” has joined the Insanity. Shane “Hurricane” Helms joins James Guttman on ClubWWI.com for an all new and eye-opening 43 minute interview featuring thoughts about his entire career including the original name WWE wanted him to use, the concerns he had about his name when WWF bought WCW, ad-libbing the segment with Steve Austin that created the Hurricane gimmick, who was supposed to replace Evan in Three Count, the rare WWF/WCW House Show, “Chris McMahon”, surprising thoughts on his super sidekicks, the segments he did with The Rock, and tons more. For a full list of topics from this jam-packed discussion click here:

As fans of Shane Helms (and Twitter followers @ShaneHelmsCom) know, the former Hurricane is someone who tells it like it is. As someone who has played one of wrestling’s most successful gimmicks in the past decade, Shane is also someone who knows what makes his character work. As he and James Guttman talk about the gimmick itself, Helms opens up about how the gimmick was being changed at the end of his time in WWE. It wasn’t something that made him happy…and didn’t make sense to boot. As he tells ClubWWI.com members, it wasn’t what he knew Hurricane to be.

“I didn’t really have powers. I was out there getting my ass kicked quite a lot. That was the problem I had with creative sometimes too because they would have me in the back, especially during that last ECW run, where I was like lifting crates and lifting two ton boxes and all this stuff. Then I’d go in the ring and get beat up by some jackass.”

Wins and losses weren’t the issue, but rather respect for the gimmick. Shane discusses that and how characters like ClubWWI.com audio host Glacier dealt with similar problems. But on top of that, the brand WWE had him didn’t help to raise his spirits either.

“My last point when I was on that ECW Show – which I wasn’t a fan of – was hard for me because I’ve always been a Varsity guy. I don’t like being on J.V. That’s just me personally. That’s not saying it was an awful show. It was just that I wasn’t a fan of it and it was hard to be on it and motivate yourself when you know you’re a part of something that isn’t that good. I felt like I was doing my part to make it better but there’re only so many things I could do and so many situations I was put in. That was just different, that ECW show on SyFy. That was holding on to something that should have been let go a long time before.”

Perhaps even worse than creative not understanding your gimmick is when they don’t want to use it at all. Helms tells ClubWWI.com that as the business changed, so did the thoughts about his character – no matter how successful it had been.

“That whole time, the last couple of years, they were trying to play some realism. I can’t even tell you how many times I heard, ‘We want that more realistic approach.’ And I’m standing there in a superhero outfit. I’m like, ‘Really? You’re telling me that? Do you want me to take this outfit off?” That’s what kind of lead to me taking time off from Hurricane when I did that whole heel run. It had been getting more reality based. How am I gonna be more reality-based if I’m dressed like a superhero? But they loved the merchandise and put me out there. At one time, only Austin and Rock were selling more merchandise than I was.

Alongside all the talk about Hurricane, Helms and Guttman discuss his entire career including Gregory Helms, Suga Shane, and – yes – Three Count. Helms offers his thoughts on everything from the gimmick to the theme song to Arn Anderson’s massive compliment for them. As the ClubWWI.com interview continues, he reveals that the gimmick actually existed before Atlanta…and included a future WWE Tag Team Champion.

“That was my first chance to get on TV. So it was one of those things where I just had to go with it. But me and Shannon had done a similar gimmick – not to the extreme as Three Count – in Music City Wrestling. That was based out of Nashville. We were called “The Badstreet Boys”and it was four of us. It was the guy who went on to be Joey Mercury in MNM – Joey Matthews. And another guy named Christian York – who is a super talented guy.”

Maryse Discusses Her Release From WWE, The Divas Division

30

Former WWE Diva Maryse was a guest on the Hit The Ropes radio show Wednesday night. Highlights from the interview are as follows:

What she’s been up to recently with House of Maryse:

“Well, I have been working on House of Maryse for about a year and a half now, so you know I’m very excited about it and I’m hoping we will be launching in the summer. Hopefully June or July. So basically House of Maryse is all of those little things that I love. You know I’m a girl and when it comes to fashion and you know lingerie, make-up, shoes. It’s just something that I love so I decided to create lines about it, something that would be creative and made by me. So I think it’s something my fan’s would love to have access to…. it will be available world wide at HouseofMaryse.com and available in 400 stores in the states also.”

Other goals:

“Well I’m in LA and being in LA, like they say I surround myself with a lot of good people and a good team and it’s so important. That is one of the elements you need when you out there, and I love acting, I love being a character. I mean if you watch my character on TV, you’ll know I have so much fun with it. Now it’s like- I wanna play other characters, you know it’s like a TV show. I’m done with that one, I want another one. So I’m ready to play different character. So yeah, of course, acting is like my main goal and I’m working really hard on it and it’s awesome.”

Thoughts on current Divas Division:

“Oh, right now I wish management would give them more time, because like I said, I think there’s a lot of potential. It’s hard to perform and give everything that you have, it one or two minute match every week. So the girls need to get the microphone, you need to be able to get time to talk so people can relate to them and like I said they need more time, that’s for sure. More time on TV.”

Her feelings on her release:

Well, you know I had six fantastic years with the WWE. I, you know, if I would have to do it again I would do it. I mean it’s a big part of my life, I’ve been traveling so much, I’ve been learning so many experiences and you know there’s nothing like it. There’s nothing like performing in front of the WWE fans. Any job you could do, you could imagine like performing for the WWE Universe. But I mean, I had fun and now it’s kind of like, next chapter of my life. Like what would I want to do, I have other dreams, I have other stuff I wanna work on and it was impossible being under contract with WWE. Now I’m free, I’m free to do whatever I want. But I had a good time, but now it’s like next. I want better, I want bigger and I’m working towards it. So it’s all positive stuff, it’s all positive.

The school girl that was Maryse:

“Well, I remember the I was involved so many things. I even did hockey for about three years. Then I moved to cross country and I really used to be involved in all of those sports. It’s funny because people couldn’t imagine me doing that. Tall, blonde looking girl, everyone said I was a model, and couldn’t do sports. I was very involved in sports and very athletic. Then when I got to be 18-19-20 I kind of calm down and got more into hair, fashion, make-up. But in college I was very athletic with the boys.”

JR’s Announcing Future, Nash Blasts Warrior Again, Santorum

72

— WWE Hall of Fame announcer Jim Ross was asked by a fan on Twitter when he’ll return to full-time announcing in WWE. Ross replied, “most likely never,” because “WWE likes what they hear” with the current announce teams on RAW and SmackDown.

– Presidential candidate Rick Santorum, regarded as one of the most conservative Republicans in the United States senate, once worked as a lawyer for WWE and has been described as “a former lobbyist for WWE” by various media outlets this week.

– After going on a very colorful rant against the Ultimate Warrior Wednesday night and challenging him to an MMA fight with $100,000 on the line, Kevin Nash has some more nice words for his former co-worker in WWE and WCW.

Nash apparently didn’t get his point across the first time around – and wrote the following early Thursday morning:

“@UltimateWarrior You should watch your mouth,You know your a bitch .You want nothing to do with me.You ran out of your gym to avoid me.”

“@UltimateWarrior You want to go pussy name the place and time. If not shut your d*ck sucker and forget my name. Bitch make me 100k richer”

With the contracts of many top TNA superstars set to expire in the next year or so, there have been various reports about WWE’s interest in these talents. Courtesy of PWTorch.com, here is a breakdown of the rumored names and WWE’s interest level:

Rob Van Dam: WWE is interested in bringing him back.

James Storm and Robert Roode: WWE was interested in bringing in Beer Money together as a tag team, but there’s not much interest bringing them in as singles wrestlers.

Samoa Joe: Despite Steve Austin’s strong endorsement of Joe last year and Joe’s longtime friendships with CM Punk and Daniel Bryan, there is unfortunately little-to-no interest from WWE.

Matt Morgan: The general feeling is that Morgan will jump to WWE when his TNA contract expires next year.

Bully Ray: WWE is interested. No word on Devon.

The Pope: Officials were interested early last year when he was being pushed but not so much anymore.

Ink Inc.: There may be some interest in bringing back Shannon Moore down the road but Jesse Neal is viewed as a developmental prospect at best.

Heat On Evan Bourne For Leaking News On R-Truth’s Suspension

67

WWE tag team champion Evan Bourne is in hot water after he revealed that R-Truth’s recent Wellness policy violation and suspension were a result of them smoking synthetic marijuana (“spice”) together. Even though Bourne and Truth are believed to have “partied” together, Bourne was suspended back on November 1st, while R-Truth’s suspension was not announced until after he main evented Survivor Series with The Rock, John Cena and the Miz.

Triple H, who is not a fan of Bourne, confronted him several weeks ago and blamed him for the news getting out. There is a company policy that WWE talent is not supposed to express frustration with the company publicly – and Bourne has done so several times on Twitter in recent months.

Triple H’s wife Stephanie McMahon is said to be a backer of Bourne’s, feeling that he is a unique act and brings something different to the WWE roster. However, eEven with Stephanie’s support, there is fear within WWE that Bourne could be “the next Paul London” – a guy with tremendous talent who is going to have his spirit broken and will be chewed up by the system.

With Bourne’s Wellness violation and the heat on him related to R-Truth’s situation, it’s somewhat surprising that the tag titles have not been taken off Air Boom already.
