Impact Wresting will be introducing new championship belts once again.
During a media conference call on Thursday morning involving Impact executives Don Callis and Scott D’Amore, the company revealed that the new championships will be introduced in April, when they hold the next round of television tapings.
Current championship belts being are holdovers from when the company (briefly) rebranded as Global Force Wrestling last year. When the GFW partnership was terminated, the company covered up the Global Force name with ‘Impact Wrestling’ plates.
Impact Wrestling’s current champions include:
- World Champion: Austin Aries
- Grand Champion: EC3
- Knockouts Champion: Laurel Van Ness
- Tag Team Champions: LAX
- X-Division Champion: Taiji Ishimori
