The Kabuki Warriors Win First-Ever Women’s Tag Team TLC Match

The first-ever Women’s TLC Tag Team Match is in the books.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions The Kabuki Warriors made their latest title defense against RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair at the WWE TLC pay-per-view event in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the Target Center on the WWE Network.

As seen in the contest, Asuka and Kairi Sane picked up the win to retain the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.

This match was locally advertised last month when promotional material for this show first surfaced.

WWE has been building up to this contest over the past few weeks of television on Monday Night RAW with Flair feuding with Asuka and Kairi Sane.

Time will tell whether WWE continues this feud or goes into a different direction heading into the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event next month to kick off the road to WrestleMania 36 in April.

Lynch hasn’t defended the RAW Women’s Title since October when she beat Banks inside of the Hell in a Cell structure at the pay-per-view event in Sacramento, California at the Golden 1 Center.

What are your thoughts on The Kabuki Warriors retaining the Women’s Tag Team Titles? Was this the right call by WWE officials? Sound off in the comment section.
