AEW Dynamite airs tonight (Wednesday, September 2, 2026) from the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas, live on TBS and HBO Max starting at 8 PM ET.
This is the first Dynamite since All In: London, and AEW returns to Texas with a roster full of brand new champions. Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed defend trios titles they have held for three days, Mercedes Moné gets her championship celebration, and the four week build to All Out starts here.
What AEW Has Announced For Tonight
Two items are confirmed as of Wednesday morning, with more expected to be added before the show goes on the air.
Kofi Kingston And Austin Creed Defend Gold They Won On Day One
Swerve Strickland and The New Level (c) vs. The Rascalz, Dezmond Xavier, Myron Reed and Zachary Wentz, for the AEW World Trios Championship. Kofi and Creed debuted at All In as Swerve’s mystery partners and won the belts in the Trios Roulette Royale, taking them off Hangman Adam Page and Brodido on their first night in the company.
They have been All Elite for 72 hours, and Kofi says WWE offered the pair a pay cut of more than 50 percent before they left. The Rascalz have spent years talking up the New Day and have history with Swerve on the independents, which makes the first defense an odd sort of reunion for everyone involved.
Somebody Is Going To Interrupt Mercedes Moné’s Party
Moné celebrates the AEW Women’s World Championship she won at Wembley, submitting Willow Nightingale with the Statement Maker to complete a set no wrestler has held before, world titles in AEW, WWE, NJPW and CMLL. She also left London with a broken nose.
Championship celebrations in AEW exist to be crashed, and the real question tonight is who walks through the curtain. AEW’s own preview points at Thekla, who lost the women’s title in July and watched Moné’s match from the royal box in London.
Will Ospreay’s First Night As AEW World Champion
Ospreay’s first appearance since beating Kenny Omega in the Wembley main event has been listed among tonight’s attractions, although AEW has not said what form it takes. Andrade El Idolo already holds a guaranteed title shot from the Casino Gauntlet, so a challenger is waiting the moment the new champion picks up a microphone.
AEW is taping Collision in Allen on the same night, which usually means the announced card is shorter than what the building actually gets.
Road To AEW All Out 2026
AEW All Out 2026 takes place Saturday, September 26 at NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
Tonight opens a four week runway to the pay-per-view with almost every title changed hands or freshly defended. Ospreay, Moné, Kazuchika Okada, Darby Allin and The Brawling Birds all walked out of Wembley with new gold, and each of them needs a challenger by the end of the month.
