The people who worked with Mara Sade think they know where she is going next.
PWInsider reports the belief among multiple TNA talents is that Sade is AEW-bound. Nothing has been announced, and she has not signed anywhere publicly, but that is the read inside the locker room she just left.
There is a reason it holds. Sade is in a relationship with Kevin Knight, who is signed to AEW, which has fuelled the assumption since her contract situation became public.
WWE is the other name in the mix, though the outlet frames it as interest rather than pursuit. WWE sources confirmed to PWInsider there had been interest in bringing her back after her 2025 NXT release, but did not believe there had been any lengthy conversations.
Her exit from TNA was clean. Sade’s deal expired several weeks ago, and she worked last week’s Philadelphia tapings anyway to close out her story, which she was under no obligation to do. The company was said to be very happy with how she handled herself and thankful she came in when she could have simply walked. She left on fully amicable terms.
TNA announced her departure on Monday alongside Jody Threat, who asked for and received her release.
Sade spent four years in WWE as Jakara Jackson, part of Meta-Four with Noam Dar, Oro Mensah and Lash Legend, and challenged for the Women’s Tag Team Championship at Crown Jewel 2024. She joined TNA weeks after her release and returned to NXT once in October for the NXT vs. TNA Showdown. Her last match was a win over Tasha Steelz in the Knockouts TV title tournament.
