Zilla Fatu has officially arrived in WWE NXT, but his landing spot has surprised plenty of fans who expected something different.
Given the Bloodline’s return to prominence throughout 2026, many predicted the son of Umaga and member of the Anoa’i wrestling family would debut directly on the main roster as part of the faction.
That expectation only grew stronger after Fatu himself previously said he intended to join The Bloodline, fueling months of fan speculation about the timing of his arrival.
According to a report from False Finish, though, that was never actually the plan. WWE reportedly always intended for Fatu’s debut to happen in NXT rather than on the main roster alongside The Bloodline.
That doesn’t necessarily close the door on a future Bloodline arrival. His cousin Solo Sikoa followed a similar path, debuting in NXT back in 2021 before officially joining The Bloodline the next year, a blueprint that could easily apply to Fatu as well.
