Becky Lynch has broken her silence on her WWE absence with a bold claim: the promotion needs her, and fans will realize it the moment she comes back. Speaking on WWE Radio’s Off The Ropes podcast, Lynch doubled down on her importance to WWE’s creative direction and argued that the product has lacked excitement while she has been off television.
We do need me. Sometimes you gotta’ let ’em know. Sometimes you gotta’ point the torch. You gotta’ be the lighthouse. You gotta’ say, okay guys, what did you want? What did you want? Well, here’s the light. Here’s the rest. Here’s what it looks like without me. Do you like it? Do you like it? Is it exciting? Is it fun? No! It’s not! It needs more Becky Lynch, and then you come back and then everybody goes, I knew it. It was her all along,” Lynch said.
Lynch has not appeared on WWE programming since June.
The Backdrop To Her Time Away
Lynch’s most recent run wrapped up after a reign as WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion. She dropped the title to Sol Ruca at the Clash in Italy event before stepping back from television the following month.
For now, Lynch is leaning into the narrative that her absence proves her value rather than diminishes it. Whether WWE agrees, and when she returns, remains to be seen.
