Becky Lynch To Face Liv Morgan Tonight After Vaquer Not Cleared

Becky Lynch will challenge Liv Morgan for the Women's World Championship on Raw tonight after Adam Pearce said Stephanie Vaquer is not medically cleared.

Stephanie Vaquer is not medically cleared for in-ring action, and Becky Lynch will challenge Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship tonight on Raw. Adam Pearce announced the change in the opening segment from the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California.

Vaquer was booked to face Lynch in a No. 1 contender’s match. Instead, Lynch skips the qualifier and goes straight to the champion. Fightful Select reported before the show that Pearce would open Raw with the announcement and that the title match would headline the night.

The turn came fast. WWE posted a video on Saturday of Vaquer tossing her crutches aside and telling Lynch, “See you Monday,” and Pearce made the match official afterward, as covered in our report on Vaquer declaring herself cleared. On Monday, WWE said on X that “questions have arisen regarding Stephanie Vaquer’s medical availability” and that Pearce would address everything on the show.

Vaquer revealed an ankle injury on the October 12 Raw, two days after Morgan beat her in a triple threat match that also included Lynch at Money in the Bank. Morgan pinned Vaquer with Oblivion to take back the Women’s World Championship. Lynch and Vaquer have traded blame for that loss since, and on last week’s Raw in San Diego, Lynch pushed Pearce for a title match. He told her it would happen once Vaquer was cleared.

Lynch gets her shot at Morgan without having to beat Vaquer for it. Morgan’s reign is already under pressure: Tiffany Stratton tried to cash in her Money in the Bank contract on Friday’s SmackDown, but Judgment Day pulled Morgan out before the bell.
