Darby Allin: There's Nothing I Won't Do For AEW

Darby Allin has put his body through a number of brutal matches and spots during his AEW career, but the daredevil stories he tells inside the ring are only part of why the Tony Khan-led promotion means so much to him.

As noted in an interview with Unlikely With Adrian Hernandez, working for AEW has afforted Allin the opportunity to help his parents retire. It’s also given his wife and himself the freedom to plan their future together, which may include children.

For Allin, all of that has created a level of gratitude that’s difficult to put into words, and perhaps more importantly, now has him wanting to give back to AEW.

I can’t put into words exactly how it’s changed my life, but I really feel everybody, if they truly understood the beauty of this place, they would treat it with the respect it deserves,” he said.

There’s people that truly understand how important it can be outside of the ring and inside the ring. It’s up to you how far you want to take it. No one can create a Darby Allin. I am me. You can’t create me. And by having the trust in me without changing anything, just go do you, I feel like that resonates with so many people. I can’t put it into words. There’s nothing I won’t do for this place.

Under the AEW banner, Allin has enjoyed two reigns as TNT Champion and one as Tag Team Champion, the latter of which he achieved alongside wrestling icon Sting. Earlier this year, he added the AEW World Championship to his resume as well by defeating MJF.
