Former WWE star Braun Strowman (Adam Scherr) is putting his platform to work for disaster relief. He organized a donation drive this week in partnership with local promotion Great Lakes Championship Wrestling and the Milwaukee Milkmen to aid those hit by a tornado that recently struck Menasha, Wisconsin.
The Fox Valley Tornado Relief Donation Drive will take place on July 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Franklin Field in Franklin, Wisconsin, home of the Milwaukee Milkmen. They will gather physical supplies for families displaced by the storm, and the donations will be delivered to agencies coordinating relief in the region.
Scherr first shared his plans in a social media post, urging fans to rally behind the recovery effort.
Godspeed to anyone that’s up there right now helping out, and God bless to everyone in the area that was affected by this, and stay tuned, I said, I’m going to be doing everything I can in my power here in the state of Wisconsin to help out with these people hit last night with a tornado,” Scherr said.
A Community-First Relief Effort
Scherr framed the drive as a grassroots push built around the Fox Valley community rather than a headline-grabbing gesture. The National Weather Service documented the Menasha tornado as an EF-3, an assessment consistent with the severe residential damage and displacement reported across the area.
This is about neighbors helping neighbors. The people of the Fox Valley have suffered tremendous loss, and together with the Milwaukee Milkmen and Great Lakes Championship Wrestling, we’re asking our fans and our community to come together and show what Wisconsin is all about,” Scherr said.
He tied the effort to his own history in the region, having worked frequently with Milwaukee-based GLCW.
I’ve always prided myself on being a man of the people and trying to help out when I can,” Scherr said. “The Fox Valley has always been great to me and my family, so it’s only right to try and give back any way I can.
What The Drive Collected
Organizers have asked donors to bring physical supplies rather than cash, listing high-priority items:
- Bottled water and sports drinks
- Heavy-duty trash bags, work gloves, and cleaning supplies
- Diapers, baby wipes, and baby formula
- Toiletries and personal hygiene products
- Non-perishable food and snacks
- Pet food and pet supplies
Pairing a wrestling promotion with a professional baseball team let the campaign reach two fan bases at once.
