The fallout from SummerSlam’s Bella Twins heel turn has only deepened in the hours since — and not in a good way for Brie Bella.
At SummerSlam 2026 Night One in Minneapolis, Nikki Bella, Brie Bella, and Paige fell to Fatal Influence in a six-woman tag team match. It marked Nikki’s first match back since recovering from the injury that sidelined her since March.
Nikki turned on Paige immediately after the bell, hitting her with a forearm before Brie joined in and the sisters swarmed their longtime ally together.
The moment was overshadowed almost immediately by a second, more troubling development: Brie appeared to suffer a legitimate right shoulder injury during the match, taking a brutal hit when Jacy Jayne’s cannonball drove her into the steel ring steps. She was visibly limited during the post-match attack on Paige, and was taken to the hospital afterward for scans.
Nikki Bella Provides Update On Brie Bella
Nikki has since given fans a personal update. On Busted Open Radio on WWE Radio, she said Brie is doing okay but is in real pain, that doctors are still working out exactly what happened, and that Brie will share more when she’s ready — adding, with a laugh, that she’s been told to stay quiet for now.
She’s doing okay. She’s in a lot of pain. They are still determining what’s going on, and Brie will say what’s going on. I’ve been told to zip it.
Paige, for her part, wasted little time responding to the betrayal, firing off a pointed warning to the Bellas on social media within hours of the attack — a clear signal that this feud is far from over.
