Logan Paul Reveals His New Strategy For Dealing With Controversy

Logan Paul revealed why he no longer responds to online controversy, claiming internet backlash typically fades within just 36 hours.

Logan Paul has been through a decade of internet drama, and he says he has settled on a simple strategy: don’t respond, put the phone down and wait.

On the Impaulsive podcast, Paul said he’s noticed controversy burns out faster than it used to. In his experience, the average news cycle now lasts around 36 hours before people move on to the next thing. He said it used to be closer to 72 hours, which meant sitting in the mess for three days.

I noticed this, having been doing this sh*t and being in and out of drama cycles for 10 years. The average length of a news cycle is about 36 hours. And I say that number specifically because after 36 hours, bro, no one gives a f**k. On to the next random f**king thing that’s going on.”

“It used to be a little longer. It used to be like 72 hours. You just kind of sulk for three days and kind of be in the shit. Now it’s like, bro, blink. It’s tomorrow. Put your phone down. You’re fine.

The one thing that breaks the pattern, in his view, is responding. “If you respond, the clock resets,” he said, because defending yourself gives people a fresh reason to keep talking.

That’s why he says no one should expect a reply when someone has commentary on something he does. He also said he’s reached a place where he doesn’t care what people think of him, and that everyone is entitled to their opinion.

So there’s no point. Anybody that ever has commentary on anything that I do, there will never be a response. There’s no response. As soon as you respond, bro, then you restart the clock.
