More on Bruce Prichard.
News came out earlier today that the WWE Executive Director of Creative Writing and Talent was expected to step down from his current position after WrestleMania 43. He would remain on board as a consultant but will no longer be based in Stamford.
A new report from Fightful Select provided some more details on this change and revealed the potential reason behind Prichard’s decision. According to the site, the longtime WWE executive needs a serious surgery that will lead to him coming off the road and working from home much more:
Prichard needs a very serious surgery that would lead to him coming off the road and likely working from home, as he’s already feeling rough physically. Prichard actually has filled in for Triple H running shows the last couple of weeks while Triple H had been on vacation.
The 63-year-old first gained fame with his Brother Love character, which he debuted in 1988. Bruce hosted The Brother Love Show on WWE TV and he was the original manager of the Undertaker. Bruce Prichard also worked behind the scene as one of Vince McMahon’s top producers.
Prichard left the company after a long run in 2008 but returned in 2019. He has been working in a top creative position since then, with the belief that the writing teams for Raw, SmackDown and NXT all fall under him. There is no word on who will be replacing him.
