AEW Star Out Indefinitely With Injury After Big Dynamite Match

ByAnutosh BajpaiProfessional Wrestling Journalist

An injury on Dynamite.

This week’s episode of the Wednesday Night show saw MJF defending his AEW World Title against Mark Briscoe after Team Briscoe’s victory in the Forbidden Door steel cage match. Max managed to retain the title after a highly competitive match. After the bell, he laid out the challenger using the Dynamite Diamond Ring as a weapon.

AEW did not waste a lot of time revealing what’s next for the World Champion after his successful defence, booking him for yet another big match with a huge stipulation against Kenny Omega. The future of his challenger, however, seems to be a little less certain, as explained on the latest episode of Collision.

The trio of Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly talked about the eventful few days The Conglomeration has had in a backstage segment on the show. Cassidy mentioned how they got the job done at Forbidden Door, but things didn’t work out for Mark Briscoe on the following Dynamite.

O’Reilly then picked up the thread and explained that Briscoe’s injuries were the reason behind his failure before saying that they don’t know when we will see him again “….yeah, because of his injuries. We don’t know when we’re gonna see Mark again.”
