WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella has a well-documented history of sharing driving stories, and on the latest episode of ‘The Nikki & Brie Show,’ she and her twin sister Brie dug up another one from their high school days.
While reminiscing about a previous freeway incident, Nikki was reminded of an earlier mishap at a sandwich shop that all the students from their school used to frequent.
She’d pulled into the only open parking spot, directly facing the storefront where a crowd of upperclassmen was standing outside.
So in high school, it’s like this sandwich spot where everyone went to, like, all high school. And Nicole goes, and of course the parking spot, like, in front of the sandwich shop, facing the sandwich shop, with all the seniors and juniors.
Instead of hitting the brake, she hit the gas, sending her car through the bushes toward the crowd.
Instead of hitting the brake to park, you guessed it, I hit the pedal. You guys, I went through the bushes. If I didn’t hit that brake so quick, I would’ve probably killed 30 people. I mean, everyone, and everyone’s looking at me like, ‘Holy s***.’
Nikki said she only avoided disaster because she managed to brake in time, joking that without that reaction, she likely would have hit dozens of the students watching in shock.
Brie remembered witnessing the whole thing and admitted her instinct was to pretend she didn’t know her sister, comparing the moment to a well-known Homer Simpson meme.
I think I was outside. I, like, have you ever seen that meme in Homer Simpson where he, like, kinda goes in the bushes? Like, ‘It’s not my sister.’ I was like, ‘F***.’
The story led the twins to another old memory, with Brie recalling reacting the same way years earlier after seeing Nikki have an accident during a school event as a kid.
By the way, that’s how I felt when you peed your pants in second grade, when the whole school’s running and I see the clown just peeing her pants. I’m like, kept running. Like, ‘That’s not my sister.’
None of Nikki’s early driving stories ended in anyone getting hurt, which is exactly why she and Brie can look back and laugh about them now.
