John Cena is coming to NXT.
After confirming The Cenation Leader’s return to TV for next Monday’s Raw, WWE has announced that the wrestling veteran will also be making an appearance on next week’s episode of NXT:
The developmental show will be leaving its usual timeslot on Tuesday nights next week due to election coverage. The show will air on Wednesday night instead, going head-to-head with the AEW Dynamite: Blood & Guts special.
Cena’s appearance is in addition to the already announced Cody Rhodes appearance on the Black and Silver brand. The American Nightmare will be fulfilling the promise of presenting the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Cup to the winning team in person.
There is no word on what the 17-time World Champion will be doing at the show, though he recently claimed that WWE has finally figured out all the details for the John Cena Classic tournament.
So it’s likely that the Hollywood star will provide an update on the Classic on Raw and then head to NXT to reveal the participants for the tournament from the developmental side.
