Sheamus has broken his silence.
The former WWE champion had been quiet on social media since reports came out that he will be ending his nearly 20-year Hall of Fame-worthy tenure with the company.
The wrestling veteran finally broke his silence with a Twitter message early on Friday after previously changing his account handle to reflect his real name, Stephen Farrelly.
Alongside a long reference to his ‘banger after banger’ catchphrase, Sheamus posted an emoji of a broken heart and a sad face. The Irish star also included the message ‘goodbye, my WWE friends’ in his native language, ending any potential doubt about his exit:
Banger after Banger after Banger after Banger after Banger after Banger after Banger after Banger after Banger after Banger after Banger after Banger after Banger after Burger after Banger after Banger after Banger after ??
slán mo WWE chairde ??
S. Farrelly
Sheamus has already been moved to the alumni section on the WWE website, indicating that the 48-year-old will be a free agent soon if he is not already. You can check out a report on the reason behind his departure here.
