AEW is making its first-ever trip to France this Tuesday for Grand Slam: France, and at least one roster member has apparently already touched down ahead of schedule.
A fan on X dropped a video of “Speedball” Mike Bailey appearing on a French talk show, where he was shown putting someone in a half Boston crab, placing him in the country well before Dynamite tapes at Adidas Arena in Paris.
Bailey isn’t currently advertised for a match on the card, but his early arrival is drawing attention given his recent alignment with Will Ospreay’s American version of United Empire. With Ospreay defending the AEW World Championship against Kazuchika Okada as the show’s headline attraction, it’s reasonable to wonder whether Bailey could factor into that match in some capacity, even without an official booking of his own.
Grand Slam: France also features Mercedes Moné defending the Women’s World Championship against Queen Aminata, Darby Allin defending the TNT Championship against Kyle Fletcher, Bandido defending the ROH World Championship against Kofi, and Samoa Joe facing Jack Perry in a Clockwork Carnage qualifying match. The show tapes Tuesday, October 6 in Paris.
