TNA Star Breaks Silence After Promotion Cuts Ties with Max Caster

Mustafa Ali has responded to TNA Wrestling cutting ties with Max Caster after a controversial rap segment at Sunday’s Bound for Glory pay-per-view drew backlash.

In a press release issued Monday, the company apologized for comments Caster made referencing attacks in Riyadh that killed and injured many people. TNA said making light of violent attacks is wrong and that the line should never have made it into the show.

It also took responsibility for the incident itself, saying the fault was TNA’s. The company expressed sympathy for the victims, their families and everyone affected, and apologized sincerely.

It has removed the segment from replays and its social channels and said it is taking steps to make sure nothing like this happens again. The statement ended by confirming that Caster will no longer be wrestling for TNA.

Ali wrote:

Our sincere apologies about this incident. Thank you to management for addressing this matter.

The release came hours after it was reported that the Riyadh line was not scripted or approved by TNA ahead of time.

Caster only recently became available to other promotions. Fightful Select reported earlier this month that he and Anthony Bowens are free agents after leaving AEW.
