Trick Williams will defend the Men’s United States Championship against Baron Corbin in a Steel Cage Match this Friday on WWE SmackDown.
WWE posted the announcement Wednesday afternoon, crediting SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis after the feud kept spilling outside the ring.
The blue brand is in Indianapolis at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The show airs at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT on USA Network.
Aldis booked the cage after Corbin attacked Williams and Lil Yachty with a kendo stick on the September 11 SmackDown in Mexico City. That ambush came days after Williams won the title back at Sunday Night’s Main Event, where Yachty first lasted five minutes with Corbin to earn the rematch.
Williams also qualified for Money in the Bank last Friday, then called Corbin a “bald headed bum” after the bell. Corbin answered in a SmackDown exclusive that they are “far from finished.”
The cage match joins a loaded Indianapolis card that already includes a Men’s Money in the Bank qualifying triple threat between CM Punk, Gunther, and Finn Balor.
