WWE SummerSlam 2026 continues Sunday from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis with Night 2, closing out the two-night event with Roman Reigns defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins. Night 2 Match Order And Results

No. 1 Contender’s Match: Kevin Owens def. Finn Balor, Sami Zayn and Gunther
Balor and Zayn made their entrances for what was billed as a standard No. 1 contender’s match before SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis walked out and added Gunther to the bout. Aldis then dropped a second bombshell, announcing the surprise return of Kevin Owens to make it a Fatal Four-Way.
Owens, back for the first time since suffering a neck injury in early 2025, unloaded a string of Stunners on Gunther and Balor before countering a Zayn attempt and finishing him off with one final Stunner for the win in 8:30. Owens now becomes the next challenger for the Undisputed WWE Championship, regardless of whether CM Punk or Cody Rhodes leaves Minneapolis holding it.
United States Championship: Baron Corbin def. Trick Williams (c)
Corbin picked up his first singles title since returning to WWE in July, capping a rivalry that ramped up on the go-home SmackDown before SummerSlam. Williams had Corbin in trouble for most of the match, including sending Lil Yachty through a table on the outside, but the finish turned on a distraction. With referee Jason Ayers looking the other way, Corbin grabbed the title belt, blasted Williams with it, then hit the End of Days for the pin.
Interim WWE Women’s Championship: Chelsea Green Wins Ladder Match
Green outlasted Charlotte Flair, Jade Cargill, Tiffany Stratton and Lash Legend in a chaotic five-way ladder match to become the first interim WWE Women’s Champion, with Rhea Ripley sidelined by injury. Flair had talked through her mindset for the match ahead of tonight, but she and Cargill wound up taking each other out near the finish, leaving Green to climb unopposed and grab the title. Green is expected to face Ripley once she’s medically cleared, in a bout to reunify the championship.
Danhausen def. Dominik Mysterio (Human Monies On A Pole Match)
Danhausen closed the book on his feud with Judgment Day, retrieving the bag of cash Mysterio originally paid him to curse Oba Femi. Joe Hendry came out mid-match to help fend off interference from Mysterio’s allies, and Danhausen capitalized on the chaos to climb up and grab the money for the win.
Intercontinental Championship: Penta (c) vs. Chad Gable
Penta defends the title against Gable in a match that follows the Lucha Bros’ first reunion inside a WWE ring. This one is in progress, check back for the result.
WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Seth Rollins
Reigns and Rollins close the show in their first one-on-one meeting since the 2022 Royal Rumble. Rollins never dropped the title in a traditional match and has made clear he still considers it his. Result pending, check back for the update.
