Mattel’s UNO Championship Series gets underway this month, and the winner will walk away with a $50,000 grand prize and a championship belt built in the mold of a wrestling title.
Free weekly qualifiers open on the UNO Mobile app before the end of August and run through September 27. In-person qualifiers follow in October across Florida, Chicago, and California, with the finals landing November 11 in Los Angeles. The finale streams live on Twitch.
The Belt Borrows Directly From Wrestling
Mattel paired the tournament with a UNO Championship Series product line that includes a wearable title belt, priced at $19.99. The company’s own marketing describes it as letting winners “wear the glory” and bring “main-event energy” to the table, phrasing lifted straight from pro wrestling’s title-match language. The belt uses an adjustable strap and fastening design similar to physical title belts used in WWE and other promotions.
It’s sold alongside a card shuffler and an expanded 336-card tournament set, and it isn’t Mattel’s first overlap between UNO and wrestling. The company already sells a UNO WWE Card Game featuring a deck built around wrestling’s biggest stars.
Mattel Games VP and global head Katie Buford tied the new championship to that same competitive identity. “The 2026 UNO Championship Series Tournament brings that excitement to the biggest stage yet, giving fans around the world a front-row seat as elite players battle it out to become this year’s UNO Champion,” Buford said.
The UNO Championship Series products are available now through the Mattel Shop.
