Will Ospreay will face Ricochet on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, a special episode honoring the late PAC, AEW president Tony Khan announced Tuesday. The two men were among PAC’s most iconic rivals, and they’ll meet one-on-one in Pittsburgh.
“2 iconic rivals of late great legend PAC will fight 1-on-1 in honor of our fallen friend on Wednesday Night Dynamite’s PAC Tribute tomorrow! This one’s for Ben,” Khan wrote on X. Ospreay, the AEW World Champion, shared the graphic and added, “This one’s for you Ben. We love you.”
Ricochet quoted Khan’s announcement and wrote, “To even be an option for this is an honor.” He signed off with “Tomorrow. For you, Ben.”
The history runs deep on both sides. Ricochet ended PAC’s 447-day reign as Open the Brave Gate Champion in Dragon Gate in November 2011, according to Post Wrestling. Ospreay wrestled PAC for RevPro in February 2019, then at All Out 2024 and on the April 1, 2026 episode of Dynamite. The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer rated the All Out 2024 match five and a half stars.
Ospreay vs. Ricochet is their first singles match in nearly two years. Khan said at Monday’s Ring of Honor tapings that everyone competing on the show is doing so voluntarily, and he noted that PAC headlined the first Dynamite held in Pittsburgh against Jon Moxley, per Fightful.
AEW announced Sunday that Benjamin Satterley, known as PAC, had died at age 40, one day after he wrestled at All Out. Also announced for the tribute show is Thunder Rosa and Hyan vs. Britt Baker and Persephone. Dynamite airs at 8/7c on TBS and HBO Max from the Petersen Events Center.
