WWE NXT General Manager Robert Stone made it crystal clear on Tuesday night that Wren Sinclair’s indefinite suspension means exactly what it says: she can’t be anywhere near the Performance Center, not even in a merch truck.
The former WWE Women’s Speed Champion was spotted working the WWE merchandise truck outside the venue ahead of the September 22 episode of NXT. Stone, accompanied by security, approached Sinclair and informed her that her suspension prohibits her from being on the premises entirely, not just in the ring. Despite Sinclair’s protest that she wasn’t inside the building, she was escorted off the property.

Sinclair fired back on X shortly after, posting “I wasn’t even IN THE BUILDING!” alongside a peace sign emoji and the hashtag #WrenQCC, drawing over 1,200 likes and 150 retweets within hours. The official NXT account’s video of the confrontation racked up more than 122,000 views.
How We Got Here
Sinclair’s suspension stems from the September 8 episode of NXT, when she attacked NXT Women’s Champion Kelani Jordan with a kendo stick following Jordan’s successful title defense against Jaida Parker. During the post-match beatdown, Sinclair accidentally struck referee Vicky D’Errico, which prompted Stone to hand down an immediate, indefinite suspension.
The attack was motivated by Jordan’s treatment of Sinclair’s WrenQCC partner, Kendal Grey, who has been sidelined indefinitely with a vestibular injury. Sinclair has been vocal about her frustration, telling Busted Open Radio that she’s been a “good little soldier” for nearly three years with nothing to show for it, no championship celebration, no merchandise, no recognition, while watching newcomers walk in and get opportunities handed to them.
“Zilla Fatu literally came in during a main event match, ruined it, and what did he get? He got a championship match handed to him on a platter on a PLE,” Sinclair said. “I do something, beat the living tar out of Kelani, and I accidentally hit a ref and what do I get? I get suspended.”
The Fan Reaction
The wrestling community has largely rallied behind Sinclair, with fans flooding the replies with #JusticeForWren and #FreeWren. Many pointed out the perceived double standard, noting that other wrestlers have interfered in matches or struck officials without facing similar consequences. Some suggested NXT should lean into the angle by having Sinclair continue defying authority, drawing comparisons to Steve Austin’s rebellious run.
