Two Title Matches Tonight on WWE NXT from Orlando

ByMike ReichlinProfessional Wrestling Journalist

WWE NXT airs tonight (Tuesday, September 8, 2026) from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, live on The CW starting at 8 PM ET.

WWE rolls into another week of NXT with two championships on the line and a spot in next week’s NXT Championship No. 1 Contender’s Triple Threat up for grabs. Kelani Jordan and Jackson Drake both make their first defenses since winning gold at Heatwave. Here’s everything you need to know including start times, how to watch, and the full card.

WWE NXT Match Card for September 8, 2026

Here are the matches announced for tonight’s show:

Kelani Jordan (c) vs. Jaida Parker (NXT Women’s Championship)

Jordan captured the NXT Women’s Championship at Heatwave, ending Kendal Grey’s reign in her first one-on-one shot at the title. Grey has since been ruled out for the foreseeable future, which leaves the division wide open behind the new champion.

Parker didn’t wait around. She called her shot on last week’s episode after beating Nattie in a Submission Match at Heatwave, and General Manager Robert Stone signed it for tonight.

Jackson Drake (c) vs. Tavion Heights (NXT North American Championship)

Drake won the NXT North American Championship at Heatwave and picked up a challenger almost immediately. Heights confronted him on last week’s show, the two argued, and Heights got the match he asked for.

Drake’s first defense comes barely a week into the reign, which is a short runway for a champion still settling in.

Tony D’Angelo, Mason Rook and Saquon Shugars vs. EK Prosper, Cruz Montana and Keanu Carver (Winning Team Advances To A No. 1 Contender’s Triple Threat)

Grayson Waller’s NXT Championship celebration last week turned into a pile-on. D’Angelo, Rook, Shugars, Prosper, Montana and Carver all confronted the new champion and demanded a shot, and Stone answered with this six-man tag.

The three men on the winning side advance to a Triple Threat next week that decides who challenges Waller. Carver has been pressuring Stone for an opportunity, so he has extra reason to make sure his side comes out on top.

Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno vs. The Creed Brothers

Julius and Brutus Creed jumped Dar and Moreno after their win on the September 1 episode, then promised an explanation this week. Dar and Moreno asked for a fight instead, and Stone made it official.

It’s the first NXT match for the former NXT Tag Team Champions since they returned to the brand.

Road to WWE Halloween Havoc 2026

Halloween Havoc 2026 takes place Saturday, October 31. WWE announced the date during Heatwave but has not confirmed a venue or city.

Tonight begins sorting out who carries the top titles into that show. The six-man tag puts Waller’s next challenger in motion, and either singles title could change hands before the build properly starts.
