Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic: Vanity Project def. Starboy and Mini Vikingo
The NXT Tag Team Champions opened the show with Jackson Drake and Myka Lockwood in their corner, and both made a difference. Lockwood blocked Mini Vikingo’s path on the floor so Baylor could level him from behind, and Vanity Project kept control from there until Starboy and Vikingo rallied with a run of high-flying near falls.
The finish came when Starboy went to the top rope and met a pair of knees, setting up a combination stomp from Vanity Project for the pin. Baylor and Smokes, who had a bye through the first round of the revived Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, are now in the semifinals.
Tristan Angels def. Saquon Shugars
Before the bell, Grayson Waller found Shugars backstage and mocked him for not being anywhere near the NXT Championship scene. Shugars then got the better of the early exchanges, sending Angels to the floor, and an irate Angels responded by tossing chairs into the ring until the referee stopped him.
Angels took over with a sleeper and a run of strikes. When Shugars lost his footing on the top rope, the fight spilled outside, and Angels finished him with a knee to the head.
Wren Sinclair Gets Her Halloween Havoc Title Match
Sinclair opened up about her win in last week’s 20-woman No. 1 contender’s battle royal, which she entered disguised as AAA’s Lady Shani. She apologized to Shani, said she was done playing it safe, and pointed to losing the Women’s Speed Championship and watching Kendal Grey lose the NXT Women’s Championship as her motivation. She also acknowledged the open questions about her suspension from General Manager Robert Stone.
Kelani Jordan interrupted, argued that a suspended wrestler’s win shouldn’t count and refused to defend against Sinclair. Stone then came out, announced Sinclair’s suspension had been lifted, and put the question to the crowd. The fans backed Sinclair, and Stone made Jordan vs. Sinclair official for Halloween Havoc. Jordan swung at Sinclair with the title, but Sinclair kicked her away and stood tall holding the belt.
Later, Grey caught up with Sinclair backstage and revealed she has been medically cleared to return to the ring.
AAA Reina de Reinas Championship: La Catalina (c) def. Kali Armstrong
Armstrong earned the shot backstage, with Stone granting it because she had eliminated La Catalina from last week’s battle royal. Armstrong caught Catalina with a bodyslam on the exposed concrete and a spear in the corner, but Catalina answered with a missile dropkick, hip attacks and a dive off the steel steps. When Armstrong went for the Kali Connection, Catalina sent her over the top rope, then put her away with a Shining Wizard to retain.
Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic: Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno def. Nathan Frazer and Axiom
Frazer nearly won it with a springboard Spanish Fly and a Frog Splash on Moreno, and Axiom had to break up a Dar ankle lock to keep the team alive. Dar and Moreno weathered it, isolated Axiom, and won with a Russian leg sweep and kick combination to join Vanity Project in the semifinals.
No. 1 Contender’s Match: Tony D’Angelo def. Myles Borne
D’Angelo, who lost the title to Waller at Heatwave after that Fatal 4-Way main event was set in August, told Borne backstage that his fate was in D’Angelo’s hands and that he would decide Waller’s at Halloween Havoc. Waller watched the match from a monitor backstage.
Borne went after D’Angelo on the floor early, driving him into the ring post and steps. D’Angelo answered with a spear that caught Borne in midair and a sit-out powerbomb for a near fall. Borne rallied with an Angle Slam, but a cameraman hopped onto the apron and pulled his attention away, and D’Angelo hit a chokeslam for the win.
After the bell, the cameraman revealed himself as Tavion Heights. Heights, whom Borne turned on at Heatwave and attacked again in September, hit Borne with a belly-to-belly suplex and powerbombed him through the announce desk.

Dion Lennox ambushed Cruz Montana backstage while Montana was on the phone with his mother, ahead of their match next week. Izzi Dame told Niko Vance she intends to find out what ZARIA is hiding. In the final moments, Stone found a note in his office demanding he make its author the host of Halloween Havoc or be cursed, as the lights flickered and laughter played before the show went off the air.
