WWE and AAA ran the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL on Saturday night for Worlds Collide: Chicago. This is the sixth Worlds Collide under the WWE banner, and the third hosted by the two promotions.
Worlds Collide will air this Wednesday, September 30 at 7pm ET on the WWE YouTube channel. There will be English and Spanish commentary streams available.
There was speculation about WWE making a late decision on if Worlds Collide would air live. However, sources are now indicating that this week’s Worlds Collide debacle may be part of a bigger plan put forth by WWE officials.
The trios match is scheduled to be the main event for Worlds Collide: Chicago. Below are full spoilers from Saturday’s taping:
- Mr. Iguana, La Parka, Mascarita Sagrada, and Adelicious defeated Mini Abismo Negro and The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, Ricky Smokes, Myka Lockwood)
- Dragon Lee defeated Jack Cartwheel
- Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, Lainey Reid) defeated Las Tóxicas (Flammer, Maravilla, La Hiedra)
- Mini Vikingo defeated Axiom, EK Prosper, and Je’Von Evans to become the new #1 contender to AAA World Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fénix
- AAA Reina de Reinas Champion La Catalina defeated Roxanne Perez to retain
- Lucha Brothers (Penta, Rey Fénix) vs. Perros del Mal (Daga, Berto) ended when Angel and Karmen Petrovic interfered, then mixed it up at ringside. It wasn’t clear if this was a No Contest or DQ with The Lucha Brothers getting the win
- CM Punk, El Grande Americano, and Rey Mysterio defeated Omos and The Judgment Day (Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh). Punk came out with his Straight Edge Society lucha mask and "This Fire Burns" for a major hometown welcome
- After the trios main event, Oba Femi came out to a pop. The segment led to a face-off between Omos and Oba, which got a loud reaction. Femi got the upperhand and clotheslined Omos to the floor
