Chris Jericho has made a name for himself in both pro-wrestling and music and now the AEW star has visited the street that bears his name. On Instagram, Jericho shared footage from his native Winnipeg, saying it was “cool” that a road had been named in his honor. The road holds extra significance for the first-ever AEW World Champion, who used to live and deliver newspapers on the street now named after him.
When not named after the wrestling legend, the street is called Wordsworth Way and has already appeared in Jericho’s entertainment endeavors. The street received its own track on Fozzy’s album Judas, with Jericho himself writing the lyrics for the track. The album was released in October 2017 and Jericho would use the titular track in New Japan and AEW.
Jericho is currently visiting Winnipeg as part of a ‘Jericho History’ tour hosted on his social media channels. Chris, who these days resides in Florida like several wrestlers, is back in Canada to celebrate the birthday of his father, NHL legend Ted Irvine.
When not giving history lessons in Winnipeg, Jericho can be found appearing for AEW and is the reigning Ring of Honor World Champion. Jericho will defend against Matt Cardona later this month at ROH Final Battle inside the legendary Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Chris Jericho and his adventures both in and out of the squared circle.
