Penta El Zero Miedo Returns to AAA Amid Reported AEW Exit

Penta El Zero Miedo has made his dramatic return to AAA, mere days after it was reported that his time with AEW had come to an end. Penta appeared at the latest tapings of AAA Lucha Libre, earning a raucous ovation and “Cero Miedo” chant from the fans in attendance.

Penta’s return to AAA comes after the former AEW World Tag & Trios Champion was removed from AEW’s roster website. It was reported earlier this month that Penta’s AEW contract has expired, making the 39-year-old wrestler a free agent. Penta’s brother Rey Fenix will reportedly remain with AEW through 2025 after injury time was added to his contract.

Penta debuted in AAA in September 2010, and would remain with the promotion until 2017, citing unhappiness and feeling held back as reasons behind his exit. The following year, Penta returned and would continue to compete sporadically for AAA until 2023. He is a three-time World Tag Team Champion, one-time Mixed Tag Team Champion, and one-time AAA Latin American Champion.
