AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks will make their return to New Japan Pro Wrestling at Wrestle Dynasty, six years removed from their more recent NJPW match. The AEW EVPs shared the news via video during NJPW’s King Of Pro-Wrestling 2024 event.
The Young Bucks haven’t competed for New Japan since WrestleKingdom 13 in January 2019, mere days after AEW was announced to the public. With that in mind, the brothers have been a part of AEWxNJPW: Forbidden Door events, where they hold a 2-1 win/loss record.
WrestleDynasty 2025
Wrestle Dynasty will take place on January 5, 2025, from the legendary Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan, just one day after NJPW: Wrestle Kingdom 19 in the same venue. In addition to AEW and New Japan talent, the show will also feature names from Ring of Honor, CMLL, and World Wonder Ring Stardom. The show was announced back in June of this year during the AEWxNJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view.
Wrestle Dynasty will further cement AEW’s willingness to work with other promotions to provide the best wrestling content for fans around the world. Stay tuned to SE Scoops for all the latest news about Wrestle Dynasty 2025 and whoever ends up stepping in the ring with the Young Bucks in Tokyo.
